The new Lakeside Legacy Arts Park boasts two galleries - the refurbished Sage Gallery and the Charles Dole Gallery. Watch the calendar for upcoming art exhibits and performances. Both galleries are "works in progress," undergoing various stages of improvement. Come witness the transformation!

Our line-up of Legacy Events is guaranteed to please. Funds raised from our Legacy Events help to finance progress at the Arts Park, focused on the mission of preservation and protection, and the vision of creating a one-of-a-kind, world-class arts education and inspiration center.

Every Month:
On First Friday Make it Gallery Night!

Change your routine one Friday a month. For less than a movie and popcorn for you and your date, you and your friends are invited to come enjoy a fabulous time at the Arts Park. There's art on display, live music, and a new theme every month - hundreds of folks are now attending. Entry is by donation, so the price is right!

Summer: Lakeside Festival

It's "The Grandaddy of All Festivals" in McHenry County!  Attracting over 30,000 people to this annual favorite, come experience live music, plenty of scrumptious food at the "Taste by the Lake," fabulous art shows, thrill rides, midway games, reunions with friends, historic tours, incredible selection of beers and wines on tap, and fun for the whole family! more.....

Winter: Christmas at the Dole
Holiday Artists' Showcase, tree lighting cermony and caroling with the Mayor, horse and carriage rides, dance and musical performances - holiday cheer could not get more "down home" than at the region's most famous home, the Dole Mansion.
